Step-by-Step Guide

Select Your Category and Enter Grades

Begin by selecting the category that matches your educational goals:

Degree Programs Diploma Programs Certificate Programs KMTC Courses Artisan Courses

For Degree Programs:

Enter your KCSE grades for all relevant subjects
Enter your Cluster Points for all 20 clusters
Cluster points determine your eligibility for specific degree programs

For Other Categories (Diploma, Certificate, KMTC, Artisan):

Enter your KCSE grades for all relevant subjects
No cluster points required for these categories

Tip: You can check multiple categories, but each additional category beyond the first will incur an extra charge.

Provide Email and Index Number

After entering your grades, you'll be prompted to provide:

Email Address: Used to send your results and for account recovery
KCSE Index Number: Your unique examination identification number

Note: Ensure your email address is active and correctly entered to receive your results.

Payment Process

The system uses a tiered payment structure:

Payment Scenario	Amount	Description
First-time User	KSH 200	Initial payment for your first category check
Additional Categories	KSH 100 per category	If you want to check courses in multiple categories (e.g., Degree + Diploma)

Payment Instructions:

Select your payment method: M-Pesa or Airtel Money
Enter your phone number registered with your mobile money service
You will receive a payment prompt on your phone
Enter your mobile money PIN to complete the transaction
Wait for confirmation before proceeding

Payment Example: If you check Degree courses (KSH 200) and also want to check Diploma courses (additional KSH 100), your total payment will be KSH 300.

Viewing Your Results

After successful payment, your results will be displayed showing:

All courses you qualify for based on your grades
Institutions offering each course
Programme codes for easy KUCCPS application

Using the Course Basket:

Add courses you're interested in to your basket for easy retrieval
Your basket saves your selections for future reference
You can review your basket before making final application decisions

Tip: Use the programme codes from your results when applying through the official KUCCPS portal to ensure accurate application.

Retrieving Previous Results

If you've already made a payment and want to retrieve your results again:

Go to the results retrieval section
Enter your MPesa receipt number from your payment
Enter your KCSE index number
Submit to view your previously generated results

Note: Keep your payment receipt safe as it's required for result retrieval.

Understanding Cluster Points

Cluster points are specific to degree programs and are calculated based on:

Your performance in specific subject combinations
Subject weights assigned to each degree program
There are 20 different clusters for various degree programs

You can find your cluster points on your KCSE result slip or through the KNEC portal.
